Streetwalker

from TERRA by Caleb Pogyor

lyrics

When I attempt to grasp my quiet expeditions through your point of view, I imagine that I'm a ball of fire burning up with everything left to lose.

I write them down the names of planets, moons and stars. Yeah, I write them down as a friendly reminder, I'm an inkblot on a page.

When your back's facing my extremities start to numb. Everyday, paranoia haunts me for the sake of everything I have to lose.

I'm still unsure on how to react to the fact that I live my life for a sad, lonely sleep walker, a street walker.
Well, you could never fail me, even if you decide to erase me. I'm on your side, John. We're on your side. We're already living in a John Doe's heaven.

Just make up your mind. In a single thought, there's enough force to destroy my days. Just make up your mind for me.
